Kim Whelpton is the Director of the PacificSport Athlete Academy with PacificSport Okanagan. As part of the regional team, Kim's work focuses on supporting competitive athletes, coaches, and their sport organizations with a variety of programs and services designed to assist a high performance lifestyle right here in the Okanagan.
While obtaining her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from UBC Okanagan, Kim competed for the women's varsity basketball team for 5 years. Upon graduation, she transitioned from player to assistant coach and was named an award recipient of the Female Apprentice Coach Program allowing her to pursue her Level 3 NCCP coaching certification.
Passionate about sports, Kim looks forward to working with a variety of athletes and coaches representing the Okanagan as they pursue their athletic goals through the Athlete Academy program.
