A member of the Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame, Cathy brought home a silver medal from the 500-meter speed skating event at the 1976 Olympic Games in Innsbruck, Austria, becoming the first ever Canadian woman to win an Olympic medal in speed skating. As Executive VP of the Vancouver Games, Cathy was responsible for sport, venue management, medical services, anti-doping control, Paralympic Games and the actual running of the Games.
