To download an application please CLICK HERE. 4371 Interurban Road Selection Process Selection Committee The selection committee is comprised of a representative from each of the following organizations: Pacific Institute for Sport Excellence Board Member, Former Olympian, University of Victoria Director of Athletics, and a Greater Victoria Sports Hall of Fame Inductee. All applicants will be notified of the committee’s decision no sooner than December 1, 2011. Successful candidates must agree to attend a minimum of two Athlete Readiness sessions or complete 4 hours of volunteer work with one year of receiving the grant. All successful candidates will be listed on the CSC Pacific website under Grants & Bursaries.

Growing Champions is a financial assistance program that gives businesses the opportunity to support the dreams and aspirations of high-performance athletes in BC. To be eligible for this program, you must be currently registered with CSC Pacific/PacificSport and competing at the national or international levels. Together BC Ferries and Sport BC offer a financial assistance program that aims to offset the cost of athletes traveling to and from competitions by ferry. To be eligible for the program, applicants must be competing in a sport that is a member organization of Sport BC. Applications are accepted between April 1st, 2011 and March 31st, 2012. CAN Fund is a financial assistance program available to active national team athletes training to represent Canada internationally. It provides direct funding to athletes, creating the opportunity to focus on success instead of on unnecessary financial hurdles, such as training, coaching, and nutrition fees. AthletesCAN, in partnership with the Investors Group, award twenty Canadian amateur athletes with the Team Investors Group Amateur Athletes Fund each year. The $5,000 bursary is available to senior national team athletes based on selection criteria including athletic achievement, financial need and community involvement. Canadian Sport Centre Pacific (CSC Pacific) recognizes the need for financial aid to support the competitive needs of amateur athletes in British Columbia. The intent of the CSC Pacific Athlete Travel Grant is to provide provincially and nationally targeted athletes with travel assistance towards their participation in national and international competitions.
Each year, CSC Pacific will award twenty grants valued at $500 to deserving athletes based on the following criteria:
• athlete must be a BC resident registered with CSC Pacific Vancouver, Whistler or Victoria Campuses;
• athletes must be identified by their respective Provincial or National Sport Organization according to CSC Pacific’s athlete eligibility criteria;
• athletes must be actively registered with CSC Pacific at the Provincial Development or Canadian Development service level*;
• athletes must be applying for a national or international competition (i.e. Junior or Senior Nationals, Junior/Senior World Championships, Olympic/Paralympic Trials, World Cup Events, etc);
• the maximum annual allocation of funds will not exceed $500.00 to any one athlete;
• athlete must be applying for a competition that will take place 6 months prior to or after the application deadline;
The following must be included with the completed application form:
• a written letter of support from their primary coach confirming athlete’s participation at the competition (max. 100 words);
• a detailed outline of all travel costs (i.e. airfare, ground transportation, ferry, etc) related to the competition, and if available, copy of receipts for all relevant expenses;
