PacificSport Fraser Valley
ABOUT US

A legacy of the 1995 Western Canada Summer Games, PacificSport Fraser Valley was created specifically to serve the athletes, coaches, officials and volunteers of British Columbia’s Fraser Valley. By providing a variety of innovative services and programs, the Centre helps athletes earn medals for Canada while introducing sport opportunities to the region’s youth.

Currently meeting the needs of almost 200 registered athletes and coaches, the Abbotsford-based centre, located at the Abbotsford Recreation Centre, is affiliated with nine provincially identified coaches and is connected to a network of five PacificSport centres around the province and three campuses of Canadian Sport Centre Pacific.

Through our partnership with the Province of BC and Legacies Now, PacificSport Fraser Valley provides support to the sport system to enhance efforts to increase participation in sport. Centre staff will focus on ways to attract more youth into sport activities and assist communities, schools, and local sport organizations - in the Fraser Valley region - with their sport participation initiatives.

A not-for-profit organization funded by investments from various partnerships, including the Province of BC, PacificSport Fraser Valley’s success is attributed to the excellent training facilities, paid coaching staff, strong relationships with local and provincial sport organizations and exemplary volunteers. Together we are all partners in Powering Sport Performance.

With all of Canada basking in the glorious success of the Vancouver 2010 Games, PacificSport pledges to continue to work with our sport partners, provincially and regionally, to ensure a strong representation of BC athletes on national teams and to encourage BC’s leaders to continue to focus on partnerships, participation and performance in sport.
