Competitively, her accomplishments took her to provincial championships but her strongest achievements arose from sport event management in swimming and slow pitch. As a parent of a nationally-ranked swimmer, Linda dedicated her volunteer life to the sport from the club level through to the provincial governing Board of Directors. Throughout her life, she has remained active in her chosen sport of curling.   After a long career in business, Linda returned to University to study Leisure & Sport Management, graduating from UBC in 2000 with a degree in Human Kinetics, including a minor in Commerce, and simultaneously landing a role with PacificSport Fraser Valley. Linda has a strong commitment to assisting sport organizations at the governance level. She currently serves on the Abbotsford Sports Council, Sport Langley Advisory Committee, Chilliwack Spirit of BC Community Committee, and Abbotsford Sports Hall of Fame. Past organizations served include BC Games Society, BC Disability Sports and Coaches Association of BC. Linda's new favourite pastime is spending time with her growing family of grandchildren.

She has an undergraduate degree in science (human nutrition) from the University of British Columbia and is completing a public relations certificate from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. It was through sports and activity that Christine met her husband. Today they still enjoy an active, yet busy lifestyle with their young daughter and continue to pursue many recreational sports including swimming, hiking, tennis, mountain biking, road cycling and ultimate Frisbee.
	Sherry Hunt - Sport Performance Coordinator PacificSport Fraser Valley Mailing Address #385, PO Box 8000 Abbotsford, BC V2S 2M5 Telephone:  (604) 746-0603 Fax: (604) 746-0607 Email:  shunt (at) pacificsport.com  Sherry has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of the Fraser Valley and will soon complete her Master of Science degree at UBC where she ponders the ideal exercise prescriptions for breast cancer survivors. Dragon boating and kayaking dominate her coaching experience, making use of her NCCP certification. Sherry has been involved with the Ridge Canoe and Kayak Club (RCKC) since 1994, beginning as an athlete and now also serving as a volunteer, coach and parent. Her daughter is a dedicated paddler. Sherry’s consistent training for National level kayaking competitions has provided her with an athletic foundation for winning World Championship medals in both dragon boat and outrigger canoe disciplines. She continues to train in kayak for fun and fitness, planning to resume international competition in outrigger canoe. She also competes recreationally in road cycling. In complement to her high performance athlete and coaching experience and insights, Sherry’s strong connections to the sport communities in Maple Ridge and Mission will serve her well in her position as Sport Performance Coordinator with PacificSport Fraser Valley.
	Eric Sinker - Sport Participation Coordinator PacificSport Fraser Valley Mailing Address #385, PO Box 8000 Abbotsford, BC V2S 2M5 Telephone:  (604) 746-0604 Fax: (604) 746-0607 Email:  esinker (at) pacificsport.com  Eric is the Participation Coordinator for PacificSport Fraser Valley. He graduated from Brock University with an Honours Degree in Sport Management. Eric has worked for a variety of sport and recreation organizations which includes several years of youth programming. He organized many successful events while completing his undergrad and has also raised funds for a variety of non profit organizations.   Sports have always been a huge component of Eric’s life as he grew up playing a variety of sports. He has played baseball since a very young age and was a member of teams in Ontario that won Provincial and Regional Championships. Eric has been a pitching coach for over five years and still enjoys playing baseball as much as possible. In his spare time he enjoys road trips, hiking and watching his beloved St. Louis Cardinals.
